Create a Navigation Link

This is a guide to creating a simple navigation link button in your Intelastel application.

  • Familiarity with using the Intelastel interface.
  • You will need to have created at least two entities.
  • You will need administrator access.

For ease of navigation you may wish to add a drop-down link to a view, on the action button on the Records page, for a given entity in the Client view.

Follow these steps to create this:

  1. When logged in to your Intelastel application, switch to the Configurator view.
  2. Click on the EventFlow tab.
  3. Select the relevant EventFlow for the records where you wish the link to appear.
  4. On the EventFlow canvas, add a new Select event from the event palette.
  5. Use the connector to connect the source Select event the new Select event.
  6. Click on the new Select event to open the configuration menu for it.
  7. Name the new Select event appropriately – e.g. ‘Link to…”
  8. Check ‘Create a Page’.
  9. In ‘Data to Use’, select the source base entity – the records view you wish to link to.
  10. Define any conditions you want to use for the view.
  11. Switch to the Client view and go to the Records page for your new button. Select the drop-down menu arrow to the right of the button on the top right corner of the page.
  12. You will see your new link below the button.

You can use the filters to format the records displayed.

You can repeat the above steps to create as many links as you need.
